Introduction to the PaintChat Colorpicker
The PaintChat Colorpicker lets you quickly create colors that you can apply to your paintings. Go to the main menu and click on "Colorpicker" to bring up the palette.
! Differences: The Colorpicker is also called "Color&Mask", depending on the version of PaintChat you are using.
The Colorpicker Palette
When we open the Colorpicker, it already "knows" that cutie dude is purple. That's why the palette is full of various shades of purple.
Changing the Color in PaintChat
If we want to make our dude a little more "peachy", we just adjust our color by clicking near the top of the rainbow-colored rectangle. This gives a more reddish palette to chose from. Now click on the main Colorpicker palette (the large rectangle or square) to select the peachy flesh-tone, and it's applied to cute dude.
Applying Shadows to a PaintChat Painting
You can apply perfect shadowing just by clicking on the main palette slightly up and to the left of where you last clicked.
Applying Highlights to the Painting
You can apply nice highlights by clicking on the main palette slightly down and to the right of where you clicked when you produced the original peachy color.
Practice Makes Perfect
Experiment with these tools and see what kinds of neat effects you can produce.
